WATERLOO, IA (July 19, 2016) -- Rain washed out the second round of the Iowa Amateur at Sunnyside Country Club. The cut was made based on 18-hole scores and the event has been reduced to 36-holes.
The final group of Cody Holck, Marshal Lamb and Nate Dunn is set to tee off at 9:50 a.m. local time.

ROUND ONE RECAP
Some of the best players in state of Iowa have made their way to the top of the first round Iowa Amateur leaderboard. Three players, including 2014 champion Nate Dunn share the lead after 4-under 68's at Sunnyside Country Club. Two others, including defending champion Mike McCoy are tied for fourth thanks to 3-under 69's.
Dunn, the 2014 champion birdied six and bogeyed two during his first round. On the front side Dunn birdied three holes and turned in 3-under 33, before birdieing three and bogeying two on the homeward nine.
Marshal Lamb did most of his first round damage on the front nine, with four birdies during the ladder five holes of the side to turn in 4-under 32. On the final nine Lamb birdied one and bogeyed one.
Cody Holck began his day with a bogey-free 3-under 33 on the outward side, before birdieing three more holes and bogeying two on the back nine.
Defending champion Mike McCoy is one shot off the pace thanks to a four birdie, one bogey day. The 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur winner carded birds on holes 3, 7, 11 and 14.
Joining McCoy at 3-under is Dusty Drenth whose highlight came on the par-5 15th when he tallied an eagle.
In all 10 players are under-par after the first day of competition.
