SPRINGFIELD, MA (July 20, 2016) -- Emily Goldenstein finished 8-under and ran away from the field on the final day of the Missouri Women's Amateur. Goldenstein fired a third round 5-under 69 to pull away late at Twin Oaks Country Club.
The final round was tightly contested until Goldenstein blitzed the field down the stretch. The Memphis rising junior's final five holes were nearly unbelievable as Goldenstein birdied Nos. 14-17 and then put the icing on the cake with a closing hole eagle to go from 2-under to 8-under and in a blink of the eye.
Chandler Gallagher (Kansas State) was 2-under and in second place while Elizabeth Leath (Central Missouri) and Logan Otter (Michigan State) shared third at 1-under.
