Henry Westmoreland IV wins the Oglethorpe Invitational with Final Round 62

SAVANAH, GA (July 23, 2016) -- A final round 62 by West Florida junior Henry Westmoreland IV resulted in a Oglethorpe Invitational 54-hole score of 199 and the championship trophy. Playing at Wilmington Island Club Westmoreland IV finished one-stroke ahead of Travis Trace.
Westmoreland IV put together rounds of 65-72-62 on his way to the championship.
Travis Trace, a sophomore at North Florida, had three day scores of 66-65-69 to finish with a total of 200.
Spencer Schindler at 207 was a distant third while three others were tied at 209 and fourth.

54-hole stroke play event (with 36-hole cut) has
been a good mix of collegiate, mid-amateur, and
senior players since its inaugural playing in 1983,
which was won by three-time PGA Tour winner
Gene Sauers. Entries open to amateurs with USGA
handicap index of 5 or less.
