PASADENA, CA (August 14, 2016) -- Nicholas Geyer completed his run to the Southern California Public Links title as he finished 10-under and five-strokes clear of Dan Sullivan and Tim Snyder. Geyer started the day with a one-stroke lead before pulling away with final round 2-under 70 at Brookside Golf Club Course #2.

The San Diego assistant coach opened play with a bogey-free 68 on Friday and then followed it up with a 66 on Saturday.

During Sunday's closing round Geyer birdied five holes and bogeyed three. Geyer created some separation early with three birdies on his first six holes. Geyer did play 1-over golf the rest of the way but he had created more than enough cushion thanks to his early surge.

First round leader Dan Sullivan struggled on the final day shooting a 2-over 74 to finish 5-under and in a second place tie. Sullivan was sluggish on the front nine as he turned in 3-over 39 and 4-under for the week. The 2016 Pasadena City winner was able to salvage his round a bit on the back with two birdies and a bogey.

Tim Snyder made quite the recovery to finish tied for second with Sullivan. Snyder shot a 3-over 75 in the first round before bouncing back with scores of 65-69. During the final round Snyder birdied five and bogeyed three.

Justin Chong, Steven Molumby and Marc Reyes all finished tied for fourth at even-par.
