Noah Tullos narrowly wins Arkansas Match Play

MAUMELLE, AR (August 21, 2016) -- Noah Tullos finished off his run to the Arkansas Match Play title with a 2&1 win over Zach Coats at Maumelle Country Club.
Tullos started the day with a 4&3 semifinal win over Beau Glover while Coats made it to the finals thanks to a 20 hole win against Stan Payne.
Tullos held a 1 up lead through eight holes before extending the advantage to 2 up on the 9th. After two halves Tullos all but put the match away with an eagle on the 12th holes.
Other winners this week included Frank Ramey in the Senior Division and Tracy Harris in the Mid-Senior Division,
QUARTERFINAL RECAP
The final four of the Arkansas Match Play has been set at Maumelle Country Club.
In the first semifinal beginning at 9:00 a.m. CDT Stan Payne will face Zach Coats.
Payne advanced to the semis thanks a 3&2 win over Wes McNulty while it was Coats moving on via a 3&2 victory of his own over Ed Craven.
The second semifinal beginning at 9:15 a.m. will feature Noah Tullos and Beau Glover.
Tullos earned a 2&1 triumph over Adam Mote to move onto the semis. His opponent, Beau Glover had the most lopsided win in the quarterfinal round with a 4&3 victory against Kerry Lott.
The championship match will follow the semifinal matches on Sunday afternoon.

Association. 18-hole stroke play round to determine
brackets for match play. Separate divisions for open,
