Ohio Two-Man Best Ball: Team of Gerken, Miller prevail

COLUMBUS, OH (August 31, 2016) -- Jason Gerken and Christopher Miller overcame a one-stroke deficit at the start of the final round to win the Ohio Two-Man Best Ball title at Columbus Country Club.
Gerken and Miller teamed for a bogey-free 8-under 64 in the first round before closing with a 6-under 66 to finish the 36-hole event 14-under.
On the front nine the duo birdied two holes, eagled the par-5 8th and bogeyed the 9th to turn in 3-under 32. Now at 11-under for the tournament Gerken and Miller quickly reached 14-under with birdies on Nos. 10, 11 and 12.
The two would drop to 13-under with a bogey on the 17th but carded a winning birdie on the closing hole to return to 14-under.
Aaron Bickle and Mike Haynes didn't record a bogey all tournament long, however it wasn't enough as they finished in second place at 13-under. In the first round Bickle and Haynes took the overnight lead with a nine birdie 9-under 63 before coming up one birdie short during a second round 4-under 68.
David Lester and Jason Hendry; Pat Herl and Derek Kesig finished 11-under tied for third while Kevin Grabeman and Scott Anderson were 10-under in fifth.
