STANFORD, CA (October 5, 2016) -- With his 8-under
finish at the
Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational
Maverick
McNealy completed his climb into the upper echelon
of
Stanford golf. When
Maverick, a senior, signed his final round scorecard
on
Tuesday at famed
Colonial Country Club, he officially tied Tiger Woods
and
Patrick Rodgers for the most individual wins in
program
history
with 11.
Of the three record setters, McNealy took the
longest to reach the
milestone mark, as it took Woods just two years and
Rodgers three. However, after winning his season
opening
event for the third consecutive year, the top-ranked
amateur in the world now has ample time to set the
all-time win mark.
Here is a look at the 11 wins in McNealy's
career.
He was winless as a freshman before winning six
times
as a
sophomore, four times as a junior and now it is one
and
counting as a senior.
