Amateur Joe LeFavor finshes two back at the Maryland Senior Open
PHOENIX, MD (October 11, 2016) -- Joe LeFavor has finished tied for second at the Maryland Senior Open with a 36-hole 1-under tally. LeFavor finished two-strokes behind professional Dirk Schultz.
In Monday's opening round LeFavor posted a 1-over 73, a score that saw LeFavor birdie three times and bogey four times. However, on Tuesday it was much cleaner scorecard, as LeFavor birdied four holes and bogeyed just two. The birdies came on Nos. 8, 9, 11 and 12.
So far this year LeFavor has earned points in three AmateurGolf.com Ranking events, with his best finish coming in the form of a tie for seventh at the Sunnehanna Senior. At the Dave King Senior Invitational LeFavor was also able to produce a strong showing, finishing tied for ninth.
LeFavor finished second alongside professional Ricky Touma.

Maryland State Golf Association.
All players must have reached their
50th
birthdays by the start of the tournament.
The competition will be
36 holes stroke play with Senior (50 years
of age and over) and Super Senior (60
and over) categories.
