Three share early lead at Ralph Bogart Tournament

FORT MEYERS, FL (December 5, 2016) -- Jack Kearney, David Steingart and Sam Till opened with 72's to share the lead after the first round of the Ralph Bogart Tournament at Crown Colony Golf & Country Club. The leading trio will carry a one-stroke lead into day two over fourth place holder Owen Joyner (73).
Kearney is on the search for his fourth Senior AmateurGolf.com ranking finish of the season, his best finish came early in the year at the Jones Cup Senior where he was tied for sixth.
Steingart has accrued points in eight events this season and has finished inside the top-10 three-times.
The third member of the leading group Sam Till, will be looking for his second ranking win of the year after emerging victorious at the Gateway Senior Invitational. Till also tied for second at the Old Corkscrew Senior.
Three more players are tied for fifth and two behind following 74's. Included in the group are last weekends Golfweek Senior Tour Championship winner Mike Arnold, William Charpek and Greg Sullivan.
SUPER SENIOR DIVISION
With a Monday 70 Gordon Willins is out in front by two in the Super Senior Division. Jim Rollefson (72) is second while Dan Smith (73), Evan Long (73) and Robert Hess (73) round out the top-3.
GRAND MASTERS DIVISION
Charles Busbee (75) will begin the second round with a two-stroke cushion over Harry Cain (77) in second and one in front of Jim Wetzel (78) in third. A trio of players posted 79's and they are tied for fourth.
