ABU DHABI, UAE (January 22, 2017) -- The week at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship came to a close for Australian Curtis Luck with a 2-over 74 that left him at 3-under and tied for 49th.

Luck could never get anything going on Sunday at Abu Dhabi Golf Club as he carded 16 pars and bogeys on the 4th and 12th holes.

The second ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings put together his best round of the week on Friday's when he carded a 7-under 65 to go from fighting to make the cut to comfortably into the weekend field.

ROUND ONE RECAP

Curtis Luck back tracked a bit in the third round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship with a 2-over 74 that left him at 5-under and tied for 37th.

One day after shooting a second round 7-under 65 to easily make the cut Luck could never get anything going in Saturday's third round at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. The Australian native bogeyed the 1st hole, thus setting the tone for the day. Luck ended up bogeying four-times and birdieing twice.

His birdies came on the 13th and 18th holes and he has now birdied the closing hole each of the first three rounds.

Despite the disappointing round Luck is tied with defending champion Rickie Fowler and in front of 2018 European Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn and 2016 Ryder Cupper Andy Sullivan.

Luck will begin his final round at 9:35 a.m. GMT and he will play with Lucas Bjerregaard and Benjamin Hebert.
