Sahith Theegala finds out Genesis Open Tee Time

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (February 15, 2017) -- The whirlwind week for for Pepperdine sophomore Sahith Theegala at Riviera Country Club continues.
After earning an exemption into the Genesis Open field by way of his victory in the Monday Collegiate Showcase, Theegala has now learned when his first and second round tee times will be.
On Thursday Theegala will make his PGA Tour debut when he steps to the 10th tee at 2:20 p.m. PST playing alongside Wesley Bryant and 2011 U.S. Amateur and Trans-Mississippi winner Kelly Kraft. The group will then go off the first hole on Friday at 8:25 a.m.
Last year Theegala reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur as the 61st seed and now he will get an extra long look at the site of the 2017 version.
Theegala began his 2017 spring season with a fifth place finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate after ending his year with a tied for third showing at the Patriot All-America in December.
This week Theegala is hoping to become the second of three Genesis Open Collegiate Showcase winners to make the cut. Inaugural winner Will Zalatoris of Wake Forest missed the cut before Charlie Danielson of Illinois made the cut a year ago.
