Three teams share NC Super Senior Four-Ball Lead

GREENSBORO, NC (March 29, 2017) -- Three teams
sit atop the Championship Flight in the First Annual
North
Carolina Super Senior Four-Ball Championship after
round one at the Farms Course at Greensboro
Country Club.
Partners Dick Hogan of Burlington, NC – Mark
Wagner of Statesville, NC join Butch English of
Cornelius, NC – Wayne Pyrtle of Burlington, NC, and
Russ Perry from Winston-Salem, NC – Mark
Stephens from Troutman, NC all shot six-under par
66.
A host of other teams sit one shot back and 15
teams are within three shots of the lead. In the 70+
Flight, Steve Spiegler of Charlotte, NC – Dave
Moser, Charlotte, NC lead by two shots after
shooting a seven-under par 67.
The final round is set for an 8:30 a.m. double
tee start Thursday morning will leaders of both
flights teeing off at 10:50 a.m.

The North Carolina Super Senior Four-Ball
Championship was created in in 2017 and is for men
age 65 and over. This championship is conducted at
36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Entry is open to
any
male amateur golfer who is a legal resident of North
Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club
which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association
and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®.
Teams may sign up for the 65+ or 70+ age division.
