BRIDGEND, Wales (April 10, 2017) - After 72-holes and a 36-hole closing day Charlie Strickland has won the Duncan Putter at Southerndown Golf Club.

Strickland finished with a total of 274 to win by six-strokes over Ben Chamberlin (73-68-69-70--280) and Joshua McMahon (69-70-70-71--280).

Throughout the weekend Stickland was able to put together four consecutive sub-70 tallies posting 69 -69-67-69.

Jake Burnage (71-72-73-70--286) finished fourth while three other shared fifth at 287.

ABOUT THE Duncan Putter

The Duncan Putter is the first of the Welsh Order of Merit events and gives International and Walker Cup selectors a chance to assess early season form. The format is 72 holes of stroke play played over three days.

Competitors come from Wales, the UK and increasingly from Europe, too.
