(April 11, 2017) - Harry Hall - a native of Hayle, England, and sophomore at UNLV - has been named to the European Arnold Palmer Cup team. The annual Ryder Cup-style competition will be played June 9-11 at Atlanta Athletic Club.
Hall has five top-10 finishes this season, including runner-up at both the National Invitational Tournament and The Goodwin. He has twice been named the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Week and also named the Outstanding Rebel Athlete of the Week. Hall has posted a 71.37 scoring average for the season and carded 10 rounds in the 60s. He was named to the England men’s golf squad in December.
Hall was added to the team after Stuart Grehan, who had previously been selected to represent Europe, was champion of The R&A Foundation Scholars Tournament. The winner of the Scholar Tournament is provided an exemption to represent Europe in the Arnold Palmer Cup. However, the spot reverts to a pick if the Scholars Tournament champion has previously been selected.
