Johnson-Rajcic pace SCGA Four-Ball after 18-holes

MURRIETA, CA (November 13, 2017) - Following a flawless 6-under 66 on day one of the Southern California Four-Ball at Bear Creek Golf Club the duo of Timothy Johnson and Christian Rajcic are leading the way by a stroke.

The duo opened with two pars before rolling in their first birdie of the day on No. 3. Two additional birdies on the opening side followed on Nos. 6 and 8 as they turned in 3-under 33. On the second nine Johnson and Rajcic combined for three more birdies with the circles coming on Nos. 11, 14 and 17 to card a second consecutive 3-under 33.

Behind the leaders are four teams tied for second place at 5-under; Cody Hall and Edwin Kuang, Kelly Foy and Chris Wood, Brenden Barkate and Daniel Ragsdale, Mark Harding and Jim Ream.

In addition there are a half dozen teams sharing seventh at 4-under on a day where 27 of the 52 teams were under-par.

ABOUT THE SCGA Four-Ball

This event is open to members with handicap indexes of 6.4 and below. Players will compete over 18 holes of qualifying four-ball stroke play to determine the 52 teams which advance to the championship. The Championship is conducted over 36 holes of stroke play.
