LA QUINTA, CA (February 21, 2018) - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 284 on Wednesday to earn its fourth victory of the year at The Prestige at PGA West at PGA West's Greg Norman Course.

The No. 1-ranked Cowboys, who shared the top spot on the leaderboard with Oregon entering Wednesday's second round, used their even-par score to finish at 1-under 567, edging Pepperdine by a shot at the par-71, 7,100-yard layout. Oregon was third at 571.

The event was shortened to 36 holes after Monday's round was canceled due to high winds.

In five starts this season, OSU now has four wins and a third-place showing to its credit. They started off the season with a win at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach, finished 3rd at the Fighting Illini Invitational, and have now won three in a row: the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii, and now The Prestige.

Pepperdine's Clay Feagler carded a 66 during his second round to claim medalist honors at 7-under 135.

A pair of Cowboys shared fourth place at 2-under 140. Sophomore Viktor Hovland followed and opening 69 with a 71 to get to his total, while junior Zach Bauchou carded a pair of 70s.

Senior Kristoffer Ventura also earned a top-10 finish, tying for 10th place at 143 after signing for rounds of 69 and 74.

Freshman Matthew Wolff carded rounds of 75 and 71 to finish at 146 and tied for 28th place.

Junior Hayden Wood rounded out the OSU lineup, tying for 42nd place at 149 with rounds of 77 and 72.

ABOUT THE

54 hole men's college tournament played in California's Coachella Valley which features an all- star field of many of major college golf's top teams and players. The Prestige is co-hosted by eight time NCAA Champion Stanford University of the Pac 12 Conference and UC Davis of the Big West Conference.

There is a college/am tournament fund raiser the day before the tournament proper begins which is a great way to see first hand how these players (many of whom will go on to PGA Tour careers) go about their business.
