FL Mid-Senior Four-Ball (North): Debra, Whittemore go deep

OCALA, Fla. (September 9, 2018) - 42 two-man teams traveled to Ocala to battle Ocala Golf Club for the Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship (North). A total of 24 teams finished in red numbers making for low scores and tough competition.
The team of Daniel Debra and Don Whittemore took the early lead with an impressive first round 11-under 61. Debra, of Lutz, carded eight birdies on his own ball in round one.
In round two, an eagle from Whittemore, of Temple Terrace, on the par five 17th hole secured a wire-to-wire victory. The duo posted a round two score of 67 to finish at 128 (-16).
Finishing three strokes behind was the team of Steve Albright, of Ocala, and Jimmy Letterly, of Anthony. Both Albright and Letterly played steady, consistent golf posting rounds of 65-66-131 (-13).
Rounding out the top three at twelve under-par due to a come back second round of 63 (-9) was the team of Jay Mcnair and Will Sprague.

Teams of two, each 40 years of age and
above, will compete in either the North or
South Championship of 36 holes of four-ball
stroke play. Must be age 40 or older and
both entrants must be members of the FSGA.
