FLORENCE, S.C. (Oct. 17, 2018) – Frank Ford shot a final-round 68 at Florence Country Club for a two-day total of 138 that was enough to leave him on top at the 12th Annual Harry Wilson Super Senior Championship. Tim Pope and John Long tied for second place four shots back.
Ford started the final round one stroke behind first-round leader Pope and needed to play error-free golf to catapult him to the top of the leaderboard. A bogey-free final round that included 15 pars and three birdies all but sealed the title for Ford. It’s his first SCGA Super Senior Championship victory.
Defending champion, Rick Cobb, finished tied for 11th after a two-day total of 153.
In the Legends Division, Dr. Carey Hite of Columbia was victorious after finishing with a tournament total of 138 that included a final-round 1-under 70.
