VIDEO: Georgia Team Championship decided by Tiebreaker

STATHAM, Ga. (October 28, 2018) -- It came down to a tiebreaker and in the end it was St. Ives Country Club that captured the 2018 Georgia Team Championship. The 26th edition of the Georgia Team Championship was played at The Georgia Club, October 27-28.
St. Ives Country Club and Houston Lake Country Club both finished with a total score of 351. As a result, the fourth individual score from stroke play was used as the tiebreaker. For St. Ives Country Club the fourth score was Scott Cunningham who birdied the final hole to post a 3-over-par 75. The top three scores for St. Ives were Bob Royak (69), Alex Brueggemann (73), and Terrance Evans (74).
Runner-up Houston Lake Country Club dominated the final round of stroke play posting a combined 3-under-par. Mitch Greer (69), Stan Gann (70), Bobby Chaney (74), Shawn Hodge (77).
The two-time defending champions from Cartersville Country Club finished in seventh place with a 361 overall score.
The Georgia Team Championship was open to four-man teams of male amateur golfers who were selected by their GSGA Member Club.
