NAPLES, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2018) –
Jack Kearney climbed three positions up the leaderboard in the final round of the Ralph Bogart, the final event on the Society of Seniors schedule for 2018. Kearney claimed his second Bogart title, having also won the event in 2016.
Kearney, of Peachtree City, Ga., was 3 under through 15 holes at Hammock Bay before he logged a double bogey on the 16th hole. He made two pars to finish and ended the day with a 1-under 71. He had started the week with rounds of 72-74 and at 1 over, won by two shots over Craig Calkins and Rusty Strawn.
Kearney also won the New England Senior earlier this fall. When he won the Bogart in 2016, it was after five extra holes.
Calkins, of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Strawn of McDonugh, Ga., finished with rounds of 74 and 73, respectively.
Mark Knecht, who had the first-round lead and the second-round co-lead, tied for fourth at 4 over with Allen Peake.
