To win the Georgia Senior Match Play title,
Bob Royak had to go head-to-head against the defending champion. Turns out he was up for it, because Royak came out ahead of
Jack Hall on Friday afternoon, winning the title at Kinderlou Forest Club in Valdosta, Ga.
Royak won his match against Hall, 3 and 2. His trip to the final match came after a close semifinal defeat of Allen Peake. Peake,
who frequents the senior circuit, fell to Royak on the last hole.
Hall, meanwhile, had won his semifinal match against Danny Nelson by a 6-and-5 margin.
Royak won the Gasparilla Senior earlier this year, and also won that event in 2017.
In the super senior division, Don Marsh defeated Bill Blalock, 2 up, to win the title.
