Jack Parrott, who will be a junior on the University of South Carolina golf team in the fall, held on for a one-shot victory at the Oglethorpe Invitational. Parrott, of Columbia, S.C., had a closing 69 at the Landings Club in Savannah, Ga., and even though runner-up Zach Sudinsky out-paced him by a shot in the final round, Parrott still managed to have the edge.

Parrott finished 54 holes at 11 under after rounds of 67-69-69. After sprinkling some bogeys into his final round, he came through right when he needed to. Parrott birdied Nos. 14 and 16 then eagled the last to set up his one-shot victory.

Sudinsky, for his part, played phenomenal golf on the front nine, going 4 under by the time he reached the turn, but slowed down on the back nine with nine consecutive birdies. The Eastern Michigan player closed with 68 for a 10-under total.

Ryoto Furuya was third at 9 under and Jacob Arnett finished solo fourth at 8 under.
