Despite the several veterans and former champions chasing him, David Ujihara of Los Coyotes CC won the SCGA Super Senior Championship.
Held at the historic Ojai Valley Inn, Ujihara hit the ground running at his first Super Senior appearance, firing a 2-under 67 in the first round. He wasn't in the clear, though, as SCGA Veteran Jeff Burda was close behind, also with an under-par 68. In the final round, Ujihara kept a consistent distance away from Burda, shooting a 71 over Burda's 72 to claim the crown.
Behind the top two players were Brad Larson, Donald Kalode and 2015 Super Senior Champion Patrick Rohan who finished T3 at 4 over.
A group of two more players finished tied for sixth at 5 over, including Rich Tolly and Rick Talt.
