Ewing Cup: Collier, Hudelson repeat at Dallas Athletic Club

Clark Collier and
Kyle Hudelson defended their title at the Dennis Ewing Cup, closing with a 6-under 66 at Dallas Athletic Club for a two-shot win.
Collier and Hudelson finished 54 holes at 18-under 198 after rounds of 65-67-66. They are now 37 under par over their last six rounds at DAC.
For Hudelson, it was the second significant win of the year, to go along with his Oklahoma Mid-Amateur title in September.

Ryan Rainer and Lance Maxwell had the round of the tournament, a 9-under 63, to ascend to a second-place finish, two shots behind the champions.
Chris Wheeler, the 2019 Texas Mid-Amateur champion who was also the runner-up in the Texas Amateur when it was held at Dallas Athletic Club earlier in the summer, teamed up with Derek Abel to finish third at 14 under par.

In the senior division, Mike Peck and Steve Love shot 66-69-69 for a 12-under total and a two-shot win over Eric Joseph and Ryan Hill. Peck and Love picked up their second Ewing Senior title, having won their first in 2017. Joseph and Hill won the regular Ewing Cup in 2004.

54-hole four-ball invitational held at Dallas Athletic
Club, a private club with a long and noble golf
history that includes hosting the 1963 PGA (won by
a
then 21-year-old Jack Nicklaus). Jack returned to
DAC in 1985 and 1988 to redesign both courses, and
was also consulted on the latest course update in
2011. The
club has also hosted many amateur championships
including the Texas State Amateur and the USGA
Mid-Amateur. Entries
are limited to Mid-Amateur teams (Age 25-50) and
Senior Teams (Age 50+).
