Natalie Srinivasan's amateur career ends with one of collegiate golf’s most prestigious awards.
Srinivasan was named the winner of the 2020 ANNIKA award. The award recognizes the best player in women’s college golf and can be compared to the Heisman Trophy in college football.
For Srinivasan, winning the ANNIKA award helps ease the pain of a season suddenly cancelled by the coronavirus pandemic.
"It has been tough," said Srinivasan in an interview with GOLF Channel’s Steve Burkowski. "I really felt like this year I had a chance to win nationals. That was hard to deal with, but all of these post-season honors that have come out have been really helpful in giving me a really positive end to my year."

Srinivasan finished her career with the Paladins with two individual wins (SoCon Championship, 2018 and Glass City Invitational, Fall 2019) and near countless top-five individual finishes.
A three-time All-SoCon selection, Srinivasan was also named the SoCon Player of the Year in 2018 and SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2017.
Srinivasan will forego her Augusta National Women’s Amateur invite as she is planning on turning pro on the Symetra Tour as soon as golf comes back.
"I have Symetra conditional status so I’ll be able to start that up in July when the Tour starts back up," said Srinivasan. "Hopefully I’ll be able to play and move forward with my professional career."
Srinivasan is the first ANNIKA Award winner from Furman. Past winners include
Maria Fassi, Arkansas 2018, 2019;
Leona Maguire, Duke 2015, 2017;
Bronte Law, UCLA 2016; and
Alison Lee, UCLA 2014.
