The second stage of Korn Ferry Q-school got underway this week at three venues across the country. Two more sites will host second stage qualifying next week from October 18-21.
The fields are deep and players are vying for spots in final qualifying that will occur at the Landings Club in Savannah, Ga. from November 4-7.
STAGE II QUALIFYING RESULTS
Oct 11-14
Kinderlou Forest -- Valdosta, GA
Round up:
Peter Knade, David Pastore, and Jeremy Gandon shared medalist honors at 13-under par over the four days.
Michael Johnson and Brad Hopfinger shot 65 in their final round. They both began the day at even par and started their rounds on the 10th hole.
A recent familiar name and face on AmateurGolf.com,
Jackson Suber of Tampa, is moving onto the final stage of qualifying. The Ole Miss standout finished in a tie for 10th place.

UNM Championship Course -- Albuquerque, NM
Round up:
Emilio Gonzalez shot 11-under par at the UNM Championship course in Albuquerque.
Parker Coody, the recent Texas grad who won the national championship in May, finished in fourth place.
Joel Thelen fired a 64 to move above the cut line. He punctuated his low round of the day with a birdie on 14 and an eagle on 15. Thelen started the day at even par, and needed at least a 67 to qualify for final stage.
Another big mover in New Mexico was Logan McCracken. Like Thelen he started the round at even par. He made birdies on four of his opening six holes en route to a 66 and a tenth place finish.

RTJ Highlands/Marshwood -- Dothan, AL
Round up:
Frankie Capan of Minnesota and
Trace Crowe of South Carolina finished tied for first place at the Marshwood and Highlands courses in Dothan, Alabama with a final score of 15-under par.
Danny Guise waited until the back nine to hit the gas and move above the cut line. After shooting a front nine 35, Guise was 7 under and looking like he wouldn’t be making his way to Savannah for final stage. However, a 31 on the back nine launched him up the leaderboard into a tie for fifth place.
Recent Sam Houston State graduate Will Holcomb V is also moving on to the final stage. The 2021 graduate and 2019 US Amateur semi-finalist finished in a tie for 5th place.

Bear Creek Golf Club -- Murrieta, CA
Round up:
Cody Blickm Jacksonville, Fla. fired four rounds in the 60s on his way to medalist honors at Bear Creek Golf Club.
Spencer Levin capped off a rollercoaster week with an eagle on his 12th hole of the fourth round. Six straight pars coming home had Levin leap 26 slots on the last day and make the cut to the Final Stage without a stroke to spare. Levin carded rounds of 72-67-76-67. His final round 67 included five birdies on his front nine. A double bogey on the second hole, his eleventh hole, made it look like he would be slamming his trunk and heading home.
Instead, he booked his ticket to Savannah, Ga.
Henry Chung's chances looked dire after making bogey on hole Nos. 13 and 16 to drop to 5-under par and one shot shy of the final stage. However, he made a birdie on the 18th hole to snag one of the last available spots.
James Leow, who made a deep run in the U.S. Mid-Am championship at Erin Hills in September, saw his chances dashed after a 73 dropped him two shots outside the cut at 4-under par.
Cameron Sisk, Leow's Arizona State teammate also missed the cut in his first Korn Ferry Q-School.

Plantation Preserve Golf Club -- Plantation, FL
Round up:
Curtis Luck and Julian Etulian both finished four rounds at 19-under par to top the field at Plantation Preserve GC in Florida.
Jack McGuire made the biggest waves on Friday as players vied for the final stage spots. A 61 helped him rocket up the leaderboard only one shot behind Luck and Etulian. He scattered nine birdies throughout his round and also eagled the par-4 11th hole. His only blemish came early in his round on the third hole.
Usually a 63 would be the talk of the town. Cyril Bouniol, Willow Park, Texas, made the cut on the number with an impressive bogey-free round.
Notre Dame standout
Davis Chatfield, Attleboro, Mass., recently turned pro. His final round 66, including a 2 under back nine helped him play his way to Savannah.
