With Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone on its roster, LSU can erase a five-shot deficit in a hurry.

Look no further than the final round of the Battle at the Beach that wrapped up Sunday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where the two seniors combined to shoot 10-under par over the final 18 holes to help the 17th-ranked Tigers erase TCU's five-shot lead and secure their second team title of the fall season.

At 14-under 838, the Tigers finished six-strokes in front of the Horned Frogs (-8; 834) and were 14 clear of Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, which finished third at 852 (E).

The win marked LSU's 50th team title in program history, nine of which have come under head coach Garrett Runion.

Lindblad carded rounds of 67-64-64 to claim medalist honors at 18-under 195, which was seven strokes clear of second-place finisher Lois Lau of TCU (-11; 202). Andrea Ligbell of Ole Miss finished third at 10-under 203, while TCU's Caitlyn Mcnab (-6) and Julia Lopez Ramirez (-4) of Mississippi State rounded out the top five. It was the 10th career victory for Lindblad, which is an ongoing LSU women's record.

The Swede got off to a blazing start, collecting birdies on three of the first four holes. She moved to 4-under on the day with a birdie on 10, then eagled the par-5 13th and birdied the par-5 17th to put the finishing touch on her second consecutive round of 64.

After opening the tournament with a 74, Stone turned in back-to-back rounds of 68 over the weekend to tie for sixth place at 3-under 210.

The Tigers also counted even par rounds of 71 by Edit Hertzman and Jessica Bailey, who birdied three of her final five holes to get her round back to even.

“I am really impressed with how Ingrid played," said Runion. "Back-to-back 64s and 18-under par. She is playing at a high level. Latanna Stone to back up Saturday’s round with another 68 was very impressive and a nice round to get the win.

"I was pleased with Jessica and how she bounced back Sunday and how she played the final five holes (3-under) helped us get the win. We are very happy to get the 50th win. The ladies were very excited when Alexis brought out the 50 sign to take pictures with. The girls mentioned it before we did. It was a nice way to end the fall season.”
