Davis Bryant, Camille Boyd return to defend titles at the 108th Southwestern Amateur
The 108th Southwestern Amateur is set to tee off at the Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Desert Mountain has been the home for the Southwestern Amateur Tournament for eleven consecutive years, and this year the tournament returns to the Cochise course, which last played host in 2019.
Many PGA Tour legends have participated in the event over the years as well as current stars such as
Collin Morikawa,
Bryson DeChambeau, and
Max Homa.
In 2021, the Southwestern Amateur Tournament introduced the Women's Championship, which was an immediate success. The World Amateur Golf Rankings gave the women a power rating that placed them as one of the top 10 amateur tournaments in the country, and another strong field is set to tackle Desert Mountain again this year.
Camille Boyd and
Davis Bryant return to defend their titles won on the Geronimo Course last year. Boyd shot
four straight rounds in the 60s to win by four shots, while Bryant won by two on the strength of a second-round 63 and a
final-round comeback.

Spectators are welcome and play begins at 7:30 on Wednesday, June 14. The second wave of players on Wednesday and Thursday will start at 12:00.
