Loyola Marymount University, consisting of Riley Lewis, Mason Snyder, Tony Hendricks, Trevor Algya, and Cade Anderson, totaled 58-under 806 to win the inaugural Kapolei Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course in Kapolei, HI.

The team carded rounds of 276-264-266 to win by a seven-stroke margin over Florida Gulf Coast University, who finished runners-up at 51-under 813 following their rounds of 268-278-267.

The Lions started their final round with a five-shot lead, having posted 276-264, putting them at 36-under par. Texas State trailed by five, having posted rounds of 271-274 for a 31-under par.

In the final round, the team shot 22-under par, featured an impressive total of 16 birdies on the front nine, with only three bogeys and a double against them. Cade Anderson, a junior at LMU, maintained a pristine scorecard on the front nine, contributing five of the team's 16 birdies.

The Lions led the tournament with 82 birdies and recorded the best averages on both Par 4 (3.83) and Par 5 (4.33) holes.

In the individual competition, Trevor Algya, a sophomore at LMU, scored 17-under 199 with his rounds of 72-62-65 to win the title by a shot over Tony Hendricks, his teammate, who finished runners-up at 16-under 200 with his rounds of 66-66-68.

Algya shot a bogey-free 10-under 62, the tournament's best, in his second round, which consisted of eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 No. 17.

As Algya entered the final round, he found himself tied for seventh place with a 10-under par score, just two shots behind Hendricks, who shared the top spot with Kyle Dougherty of UC San Diego at 12-under par. In the final round, Algya recorded seven birdies, four of which came in the last five holes, ultimately leading the team with an impressive total of 19 birdies to his name.

Sebastian Gamboa of Florida Gulf Coast and Riley Lewis of LMU finished T3 at 15-under 201.
