Now, the stage is officially set.

Only two sites remained in the second stage of Q-School, and 32 new golfers have punched their tickets to the final stage.

In Valencia, Calif., at Valencia Country Club, Jeffrey Kang of Los Angeles, Calif., won by three shots at 11-under after shooting a 1-over 73 in the final round. Kang shot rounds of 66-71-67-73 for the tournament. Kang struggled in the final round, recording four birdies, three bogeys, and a double bogey, but he played well enough in the first three rounds to distance himself from the field. 

Christian Banke of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Thomas Longbella of Chippewa Falls, Wis., both shot a final round 2-under 70 to finish T2 and head to the final stage of Q-School.

Kevin Velo was in contention all week and held the 36-hole lead, but a 5-over 77 final round saw him fall to 5-under total and T4 for the tournament. Jared Du Toit of Canada also finished T4 at 5-under. Dylan Healey of Mesa, Ariz., and Isaiah Salinda of Las Vegas, Nev., finished T6, and Charles Porter of San Francisco, Calif., finished in solo eighth place at 3-under.

Stuart Macdonald of Scottsdale, Ariz., Michael Feuerstein of La Jolla, Calif., Braden Thornberry of Sugar Hill, Ga., Tanner Gore of Farmer's Branch, Tex., Raul Pereda of Mexico, Blake Elliott of Bullard, Tex., Callum McNeill of Hockley, Tex., Brandon Harkins of Scottsdale, Ariz., William Mouw of Cave Creek, Ariz., Charlie Beljan of Mesa, Ariz., and Alex Chiarella of San Diego, Calif. were the other qualifiers.  

Elsewhere, in Valdosta, Ga., at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, Aldrich Potgieter of South Africa shot 13-under to win the site by four shots. Potgieter shot rounds of 67-69-68-71 to shoot 13-under.

Potgieter was the 2022 British Amateur Champion.

There was a three-way tie in second place with Dawson Armstong of Jacksonville, Fla., Sudarshan Yellamaraju of Canada, and James Nicholas of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., at 9-under. 

Blaine Hale of Richardson, Tex., shot a 6-under 66 to propel 12 spots to 8-under total and into T5 to qualify for the final stage. Thomas Giroux of Canada, and Michael Johnson of Birmingham, Ala., finished with Hale at T5.

The round and moment of the day came from Taylor Funk of Jacksonville, Fla., who shot 25 spots up the leaderboard and to T11, qualifying by one shot. Funk shot a final round 6-under 66 but finished his last 11 holes with seven birdies to qualify on the number.
