Brian Dwyer secures the victory at the Northern Texas PGA Players Tour

32-year-old Brian Dwyer from Southlake, Tex, shot 11-under 133 to win the Northern Texas PGA Players Tour by a two-shot margin over the field at Grapevine Golf Course in Grapevine, Tex.
Sean Walsh, from Euless, Tex, carded rounds of 69-66 to register a runner-up finish at 9-under par in the tournament.
Dwyer consistently competes on the All-Pro Tour, a men’s mini-tour primarily based in Texas. Last year, he participated in seven events, made the cut in four, and secured a 53rd-place finish in the season’s standings.
He also made a notable appearance on the PGA TOUR at the 3M Open in 2019, where he narrowly missed the cut by four strokes, posting rounds of 73-70 for a total score of 1-over par.
On the other hand, Walsh boasts an extensive global playing experience, having participated in over 47 events. His ventures include competitions on the PGA TOUR China, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, and Korn Ferry Tour. Notably, he has played 29 events on the PGA TOUR Canada, achieving a best finish of T7 at the Birck Boilermaker Classic in 2021.
The tournament featured 51 players, including 12 amateurs. Among them was Tony Romo, a former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, who made an appearance but decided to withdraw from the competition after shooting a 76 in the initial round.
