LSU wins at the Hootie at Bulls Bay

LSU shot 15-under to comfortably win the 2024 Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C.
The Tigers won by six shots over New Mexico, who finished in solo second place at 6-under. LSU carded rounds of 284-278-285 to win the tournament. LSU shot a final round 1-under
Purdue finished in solo third place at 7-under, host school College of Charleston finished in solo fourth place at 6-under, and South Carolina finished in solo fifth place at 4-under.
East Tennessee State and Missouri finished T6 at 1-over.
In the individual competition, three extra holes were needed to determine a champion. In the end, Jack Lundin of Missouri defeated Jay Mendell of LSU and Frankie Harris of South Carolina to win.
Lundin, Harris, and Mendell all finished 6-under to force the playoff. Lundin was able to bounce back after making a bogey on No. 18 to fall back into a three-way tie for the lead and win on the third playoff hole.
The Missouri standout carded rounds of 71-69-70 to get to 6-under.
Lundin is currently ranked No. 27 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com U.S. Rankings and continues to move up in the rankings due to his solid play. In 2024, Lundin has finished T23 at the Jones Cup, T5 at the National Invitational Collegiate, T4 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate, and T2 at the Spartan River Collegiate, and now, he is a winner in 2024.
It was a crowded finishing leaderboard, with Drew Doyle of LSU, Max Green of West Virginia, Nick Dentino of Purdue, Matthew Watkins of New Mexico, and Connor Gaunt of LSU all finishing T4 at 5-under and one shot out of the playoff.
