Will Holan, Ford Goldasich lead Lipscomb to first ASUN title

After entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed, Lipscomb won the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship at Highland Oaks in Dothan, Ala., by an impressive 17 shots. The team finished at 16-under and was the only team to shoot under par.
Lipscomb shot team rounds of 280-290-278 to run away with the championship. Its final round of 10-under 278 made it impossible for any other team to attempt to mount a comeback.
Will Holan and Ford Goldasich finished T1 to lead Lipscomb to the win, while Jaron Leasure finished T5 to help secure the win.
This was Lipscomb's first ASUN title in the program's history.
Central Arkansas finished in solo second place at 1-over, and North Florida finished in solo third place at 5-over. Rounding out the top five was Florida Gulf Coast in solo fourth place at 7-over and Stetson in solo fifth place at 10-over.
In the individual competition, Holan, Goldasich, and Joe Sullivan of Florida Gulf Coast all finished at the top of the leaderboard at 6-under. The trio went to a playoff on hole No. 10, and Holan made a birdie to win.
Holan shot rounds of 70-74-66. His final round, a 6-under 66, saw him jump six spots up the leaderboard to force the playoff.
Robbie Higgins of North Florida finished in solo fourth place at 5-under. Leasure and Claes Borregaard of Kennesaw State finished T5 at 1-under.
North Florida senior and ASUN Player of the Year Nick Gabrelcik did not play in the conference championships. Gabrelcik is one of the top amateurs in the world, ranking No. 6 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.
