6th Annual Ojai Senior Cup: A Premier Senior Amateur Championship
The Ojai Senior Cup, recognized as one of the West Coast’s premier Senior Amateur Championships, is set to return for its sixth edition October 25-27, 2024. This prestigious tournament held at the renowned Soule Park Golf Course promises three days of elite competition.
The Cup features 54-holes with two divisions: the Senior Division for golfers aged 55 and above with a max index of 6.5, and the Super Senior Division for golfers aged 65 and above with a max index of 8.5. Past champions include an elite list of Senior Amateurs such as Tim Hogarth, Dan Sullivan, Craig Steinberg, and the 2023 Champion, Greg Sato.
Soule Park Golf Course, redesigned by the acclaimed Gil Hanse, provides a perfect backdrop for the tournament. Nestled in the picturesque town of Ojai, California, the course is celebrated for its beauty as much as its design. In addition, the town of Ojai provides an idyllic destination experience for players and travel companions.
Soule Park also hosted the 2024 Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Senior Amateur Championship, and is serving as a qualifying site for the 2024 California State Senior Amateur Championship. Next year, Soule Park will host the 2025 Men’s and Women’s SCGA Mid-Amateur Championships and serve as a qualifying site for the 2025 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship.
The tournament is further solidified by the recognition of ranking points from WAGR, AmateurGolf.com and the SCGA.
