Minnesota alum Ben Warian finishes T4 at PGA Tour Q-School - First Stage

66 golfers from three different stites are heading to the second stage of PGA Tour Q-School after the first stage has concluded, and only one amateur is moving on.
The fourth site of the first stage was at Country Club of Ocala (Florida), which has been postponed due to Hurricane Milton. This will be rescheduled, and all information will be posted on the website and emailed to players as soon as possible, according to PGATour.com

The only amateur to move on from the first stage to the second stage was from the Arizona site, as Minnesota graduate Ben Warian, the 2024 Sunnehanna Amateur champion, carded rounds of 66-73-69-70 to finish 10-under and T4, easily moving on in the top 21 finishers.

Here are the amateurs that will participate in the field when it is rescheduled.
Derek Busby (a) - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Busby is a highly accomplished mid-amateur golfer with multiple notable wins, including the prestigious Gasparilla Invitational played each year in Tampa. He has reached the match play at the U.S. Mid-Amateur multiple times and has consistently performed well in mid-amateur competitions nationwide.
Jules Gentil (a) - Port Saint Lucie, Fla.
Gentil, who was born and raised in Limoges, France, played collegiately at Charleston Southern University, enjoying a standout freshman year after entering as an AJGA junior golfer.
Kyle Martin (a) - Plant City, Fla.
Martin, 31, is the second mid-amateur in the field at CC of Ocala. The previous year, he finished 12th in the 2024 Florida Amateur and T3 in the Sunshine State Amateur, competing against a predominantly collegiate field.

No amateurs were in the field at Nebraska, but 2024 Missouri graduate Jack Lundin moved onto the second stage from this site. The two-time collegiate winner in 2023-24 was one of the top golfers in the SEC, winning the Missouri Tiger Invitational and Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate.
