The ninth-ranked Arkansas women’s golf team showcased their dominance once again, clinching their second consecutive title at the Dale McNamara Invitational with a staggering 21-stroke victory at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow, OK.
This win follows a remarkable 29-stroke triumph at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, underscoring their impressive form this season.
The Razorbacks posted rounds of 292-276-290 to finish the tournament at 7-over par, comfortably ahead of second-place Oklahoma State, which finished at 27-over after rounds of 294-282-303. The defending champions, Tulsa, struggled, finishing T-11 at a daunting 74-over par.
In the individual competition, Arkansas junior Reagan Zibilski clinched her first collegiate title with an impressive 5-under par, carding rounds of 73-63-72. Her remarkable second-round score of 63 not only stood as the tournament's lowest round but also etched her name in the record books as the lowest round in the program’s history.
Senior Kendall Todd played a pivotal role in the team's win, finishing in second place at 2-under with rounds of 68-69-74, just three shots shy of Zibilski's lead.
Zibilski and Todd were not alone in their stellar performance, as freshman Clarisa Temelo also made her mark, finishing T-7 at 5-over, while reigning SEC Golfer of the Week Maria José Marin secured 14th place at 8-over.
Statistically, Arkansas dominated the competition, posting outstanding scoring averages of 3.10 on par-3s, 4.16 on par-4s, and 4.82 on par-5s. In addition to these impressive averages, the team also recorded the highest number of pars, birdies, and eagles, culminating in a commanding finish.
