Carolina Chacarra, Ethan Fang lead at Jackson T. Stephens Cup

Through the first round and most of the second round at the 2024 Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla., only two players total are under par.
The second round was suspended due to darkness and will be finished in the morning before the start of the third round. Today, the players were dealt difficult conditions with high winds all day.
Carolina Chacarra of Wake Forest and Ethan Fang of Oklahoma State lead the respective individual competitions, while the Oregon women and SMU men lead the team competitions.
On the women's side, Chacarra shot a first-round 4-under 66 to get out to an early lead and shot an even-par 70 to hold a four-shot lead heading into the final round Tuesday. She recorded seven birdies and three bogeys on the day.
Kiara Romero of Oregon is in solo second place at even par. Lottie Woad, the No. 1 ranked player in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings, is in solo third place at 4-over. She is only through 15 holes of the second round.
Clarisa Temelo of Arkansas in solo fourth place at 5-over, and Vairana Heck of South Carolina and Darae Chung of Oregon are T5 at 6-over to round out the top five.
Chacarra finished in solo third place at this tournament last year and will try to improve on that this year.

Chacarra is currently ranked No. 59 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings, and Fang is ranked No. 86 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.
Fang is 1-under and holds a one-shot lead over the field but has two holes remaining in the second round. William Sides of SMU is in solo second place at even par. Tyler Weaver of Florida State, Joshua Kim of Army, Zachary Kingsland of SMU, Enrique Dimayuga of SMU, and Tyler Kowack of San Diego State are all T3 at 2-over.
In the team competition, Oregon women and SMU men lead, heading into the final round.
On the women's side, Oregon leads by one shot over South Carolina, but South Carolina still has to finish the second round while Oregon already has. Oregon is 26-over, South Carolina is 27-over, and Arkansas is in solo third place at 32-over.
On the men's side, SMU is 8-over and leads by two shots heading into the final part of the second round and final round. Oklahoma State is in solo second place at 10-over, and San Diego State is in solo third place at 12-over,
The next two days will be broadcast on Golf Channel from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday is 18 holes of Stroke play, and Wednesday is the Matchplay final round by seed (1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4).

The tournament format will be 54 holes of stroke
play setting the field for a final day
of match play based on the stroke-play team finish;
the final day of match play will
be 18 holes. The event will also recognize its 54-hole
winners upon completion of
stroke play.
