Adela Cernousek and Julia Lopez Ramirez earn LPGA Tour cards

After taking the risk to turn pro and participate in the LPGA Q-School Final Stage, Julia Lopez Ramirez and Adela Cernousek finished in the top 25 and earned their LPGA Tour cards at Magnolia Grove Golf Club (Crossings and Falls courses) in Mobile, Ala.

Lopez Ramirez finished T10 with rounds of 74-70-69-69-64 to get to 12-under. The former Mississippi State standout started slow, but the middle rounds of 69 got her back in position to finish in the top 25, and a stellar final round of 8-under 64 saw her propel all the way into the top ten.

Cernousek, the 2024 NCAA Division I Individual champion, carded rounds of 75-71-65-66-70 to finish 11-under and T13, just one shot behind Lopez Ramirez.

The tournament was a 90-hole competition where two rounds were played at the Magnolia Grove Falls Course and three rounds at the Magnolia Grove Crossings Course.

The final 18 holes were split over Monday and Tuesday due to poor weather conditions that impacted the playability of the course.

Three former top amateurs in women's golf will tee it up this week in hopes of earning their LPGA cards.

Adela Cernousek, Zoe Campos, and Julia Lopez-Ramirez all advanced past the second stage of qualifying and turned pro to participate in the final stage of qualifying at Magnolia Grove Golf Club (Crossings and Falls courses) in Mobile, Ala., from Dec. 5 to Dec. 9. 

The Practice Rounds will be Dec. 2 to 4, and the rain date is Dec. 10.

The Top 25 and ties will earn 2025 LPGA Tour status in Category 14. All Players finishing a minimum of four rounds will earn 2025 Epson Tour status in Category C.

Julia Lopez Ramirez -- view profile

Lopez Ramirez is a senior who won SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore and a junior. She was named to Golfweek and WGCA's All-America First Team. She recorded eight wins, including the 2023 and 2024 SEC Championship. She shot 72-67-73-71 in Second Stage Qualifying and finished T23.

Campos is also a senior and was a driving force for the Bruins in their run to the National Championship last year. Over her career at UCLA, she was named to the Golfweek and WGCA All-America First Team. She shot 68-67-66-74 and finished T3 in the Second Stage Qualifying.

Adela Cernousek -- view profile

Cernousek won the 2024 NCAA National Championship and was also a WGCA and Golfweek First Team All-America selection. She qualified for the U.S. Women's Open and made the cut. In the Second Stage Qualifying, she shot 72-66-66-70 for co-medalist honors.

ABOUT THE LPGA Q-School Final Stage

Final stage of qualifying consists of 8 stroke play rounds over consecutive weeks, with the top 45 players and ties earning LPGA Tour status, and all others earning Symetra Tour status. Each year, many top amateurs try to earn their Tour cards, with successful qualifiers having to decide whether to remain amateur or turn pro and play Final Stage qualifying.
