Women’s Copa de Andalucia: Nagore Martinez wins by five shots

Nagore Martinez, a University of Arizona commit for 2026 from Catalonia, Spain, shot even-par 284 with rounds of 74-71-70-69 to win the Women’s Copa de Andalucia title at La Cañada Golf Club in Cadiz, Spain.
Ireland's Olivia Costello, who dazzled with an opening 66, settled for runner-up honors after rounds of 75-74-74 brought her to a 5-over total of 289. Carlota Lopez, ranked 535th on the European Golf Rankings, rounded out the podium with a consistent showing of 70-70-75-75, finishing at 6-over par.
Martinez entered the final round locked in a three-way tie for the lead with Costello and Lopez but rose to the occasion with a clutch 69.
Currently ranked 169th on the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women’s Rankings, Martinez has been a force on the amateur circuit. Her 2024 season included a victory at the Trophée Esmond, along with six additional top-10 finishes in 18 ranked events.
Notable highlights include a third-place finish at the Biarritz Cup, 17th at the R&A Girls Amateur Championship, and top-five finishes at both the Spanish Women’s Amateur (T3) and the Spanish Women’s International Stroke Play (T5).
The Copa de Andalucia field featured 84 of the top amateurs, with only 51 advancing to the final round.
