Kansas swept the 2025 Match in the Desert at Superstition Mountain, the Prospector Course, in Apache Junction, Ariz., winning the team title for the fourth straight season.

Kansas finished 2-over with a team round of 290 to earn their fourth win of the 2024-25 season. According to Kansas Athletics, this win gives Kansas head coach Lindsay Kuhle the program record for most team titles in a single season, passing former head coach Erin O'Neil, who led Kansas to three wins during the 2012-13 season.

Elsewhere in the team competition, Arizona State finished in second place at 5-over, followed by Texas A&M at 7-over at solo third place. Purdue finished in solo fourth place at 11-over, and San Jose State finished in solo fifth place at 12-over to round out the top 5.

"Just a great effort today," Coach Kuhle told Kansas Athletics. "We did a really good job with our preparation the last couple of weeks. All nine girls have been working really hard and are always fun to coach. I'm really proud of the effort that they put in and the preparation they did this week."

Lily Hirst led the way for the Jayhawks, firing a 3-under and earning her first collegiate victory in the 18-hole competition. Hirst recorded four birdies on the front nine and then made nine pars on the back nine to secure the win.

"So proud of Lily for winning her first college tournament," Coach Kuhle told Kansas Athletics about Hirst. "This course had firm and fast greens, and you had to play smart and keep the ball in the correct positions, and they did that. Lily got off to a four-under start and then shot 69 to win. She had a great week of preparation."

Hirst is currently ranked No. 148 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.

Isla McDonald-O'Brien of Arizona State and Kynadie Adams of Texas A&M finished T2 at 2-under and one shot back of Hirst.
