England's Eliot Baker secures convincing win at Portuguese International Amateur

Eliot Baker secured the win at the 95th edition of the Portuguese International Amateur Championship at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort in Penina, Portugal.
Baker carded rounds of 72-66-66-69 to finish 19-under, three shots better than 15-year-old Louis Klein of Czech Republic, who finished in solo second place at 16-under. Baker carded a final round 4-under 69 to secure the championship at the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort.
The 22-year-old Baker beat 120 players from 16 countries to win.
Baker is currently ranked No. 71 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings. He recently T4 at the 2024 Brabazon Trophy, made the final 64 at the 2024 British Amateur, and finished T6 at the 2024 Tillman Trophy.
Klein carded a final-round 9-under 64 to propel into second place, the best round of the tournament. He made birdies on the last five holes. Daniel Hayes of England finished 15-under to finish in solo third place.
Scott Woltering of the Netherlands and Oscar Couilleau of France finished T4 at 14-under to round out the top five.
