Carla Bernat, Kansas State roll to impressive sweep at MountainView Collegiate

It was a good week for the Kansas State Wildcats.
Carla Bernat of Kansas State won the individual competition by nine shots, and the Wildcats won the MountainView Collegiate by ten shots at Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. This is Bernat's third top ten of 2025 and her fourth top 20. She was the only golfer to shoot all three rounds under par.
Bernat carded rounds of 70-68-67 to get to 11-under and cruise to victory. The Kansas State star is currently ranked No. 15 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
Camille Min-Gauthier of TCU and Audrey Rischer of Oklahoma finished T2 at 2-under and Kirstin Angosta of TCU and Carolina Melgrati of Arizona finished T4 at even-par for the tournament to round out the top five.
In the team competition, Kansas State finished 4-over with rounds of 290-295-283 to win by ten shots over the field.
According to Kansas State Athletics, this week marked Kansas State's first win at the MountainView Collegiate since 2002. It was also the 20th victory all-time in program history and third under head coach Stew Burke.
It was also the Wildcats six top-five finishes this season are tied for fourth in school history and are the most since the 2003-04 team had seven. The Wildcats' third-round score and 54-hole score at the MountainView Collegiate ranked 16th and 17th in school history, respectively.
Arizona finished in solo second place at 14-over, and TCU finished in solo third place at 15-over.
