Queensland’s Chase Oberleand Victoria’s Molly McLean claimed dominant victories in the Keperra Bowl Championship at Keperra Country Golf Club in Queensland, Australia. Both players displayed impressive consistency across four rounds to emerge as deserving champions in the men’s and women’s divisions.

Oberle, ranked 528th in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Men’s World Ranking, fired rounds of 65-63-68-67 to finish at a remarkable 21-under-par, securing a four-stroke victory over Callum Sharp from Pymble, who posted 64-66-68-69 to finish as the runner-up at 17-under.

Oberle’s triumph comes as no surprise given his impressive 2024 campaign, during which he claimed five titles, including the Greg Norman Junior Masters, Victorian Junior Open, Gary Player Classic, Queensland Junior Amateur, and South Australian Junior Masters.

This year, Oberle has participated in five ranked events, with his T-11 finish at the Australian Masters of the Amateurs in January being his previous best result.

In the women’s division, Victoria’s Molly McLean delivered a stellar final round to clinch a three-shot victory over Shyla Singh of Queensland.

McLean carded rounds of 73-65-70-67 to finish at 13-under-par, while Singh—who had finished runner-up at last week’s Western Australia Amateur—posted rounds of 69-71-68-70 to secure second place at 10-under.

McLean and Singh shared the 54-hole lead heading into the final round, setting the stage for an exciting showdown. However, McLean’s final-round 67 proved too strong, allowing her to pull away and secure her second win of the season.

McLean has enjoyed a standout 2025 season, competing in 10 ranked events with two victories and four additional top-10 finishes. Her ability to rise to the occasion under pressure has solidified her status as one of Australia’s top-rising talents.

The Keperra Bowl Championship featured a strong field, with 123 men and 37 women teeing it up. After 36 holes, 54 men and 18 women advanced past the cut, ensuring a highly competitive final stretch.
