Canadian Team wins John R.Williams
ROCHESTER, New York (Sept 19, 2009) -- Final results from the John R. Williams Four-Ball Tournament at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY are now available (please see link at the bottom of this story).
Rob Cowan of Waterloo, ON, Canada and Tyler McDannold of Burlington, ON, Canada won this year's event by 8 shots, finishing with a three-day total of 203 (-7). They were followed by Christian Raynor of Kennesaw, GA and Barry Dyche of Charlotte, NC, who finished in second place at 211 (+1) and James Scorse of Churchville, NY and Ken Starkweather of Rochester, NY, who finished in third place at 212 (+2).
1998 Mid-Am Division champions Don Erickson of DuBois, PA and John Benson of Punxsutawney, PA won the Senior Division championship with a three-day total of 211 (+1), beating Tom Blank and Mark Dugan of Rochester, NY by three shots.

John R. Williams Invitational
54-hole two man best ball format with Mid-Am and Senior divisions. By invitation only.
Entrants must have a
handicap of 3.4 or less, with the team total not to
exceed 5.5. Both members
of teams in the Senior Division must be 55 years of
age
by the first day of
the tournament. Senior index requirements are 4.4
individual and 7.2 team.
