Woulfe Wins 5th Dixie Senior Championship
Dixie Hall-of-Famer now has six Dixie titles
CORAL SPRINGS, FL (December 9, 2009)--After becoming the first inductee into The Dixie Amateur Hall of Fame, Rick Woulfe of Ft. Lauderdale, FL went out and won his 5th Dixie Senior Championship in convincing fashion.
Woulfe fired 66-69-69 for a 12-under-par 204 total and a 6-shot win over 2009 British Senior Champion Robert Vallis of Bermuda. Jay Blumenfeld of Parsippany, NJ finished another six shots back in third place.
Woulfe has now won five Dixie Seniors (2000, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009) to go along with a win in the 1992 Dixie Amateur.
In the Super Senior Division, Richard Anderson of Bloomington, MN came from five shots back with a final-round 68 to win by one shot over Stuart Young of Ft. Myers, FL, with Charles McClaskey of Elkton, MD another shot back in third place.

Championship added a Mid-Master division
starting in 2019. 54-hole
stroke play event with no cut. Mid-Master (ages 40-
54), Senior (ages 55-64)
and Super Senior
(65+) Divisions. The tournament has long drawn
some of the
country's top senior golfers to South Florida -- Doug
Hanzel (2013-2014, 2017); Brady Exber (2012); and
Rick
Woulfe (an amazing 7 titles, his latest in 2015) are
among the past
champions. All three rounds are
contested at
