Boyns wins playoff for Paso Robles City
PASO ROBLES, Calif. (June 6, 2010) -- Casey Boyns won his second straight Paso Robles City Championship after a four-hole playoff with former Paso Robles High School star Levi Garcia on Sunday at Hunter Ranch Golf Course.
Players battled near 100 degree heat both days at the beautiful 6742 yard, par 72 layout located on California's Central Coast, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
After both players tied at 4-under 140, Boyns defeated Garcia -- who finished a second Memorial Day weekend at the Santa Barbara City -- on the 4th extra hole of sudden death.
Boyns is a two-time California State Amateur champion who was inducted into the California Golf Hall of Fame in 2009.
