Perez and Gama Win Santa Barbara Better Ball
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., (Aug 8, 2010) -- The hometown partnership of Andrew Perez and Brandon Gama was victorious this weekend at the Santa Barbara Classic 2-man Better Ball event held at the Santa Barbara Golf Club. Their score of 61-63--124 was good enough to edge out Tyler Crawford and Al Geiberger Jr. by two shots. Both Perez and Gama are from the Santa Barbara Men's Golf Club.
In the B flight with combined low indexes of 5.8-14.0, more hometown guys took home the hardware. Blake Mason and Tim Cooney had a gross score of 142 and a net of 125 to claim first place. Mason and Cooney also hail from the Santa Barbara Men's Golf Club.
In the C flight (combined low indexes of 14.1-19.2) Frank Kirby and Eddie Williams also fired a 142 gross. Their net score was 120 to lead the flight.
In the D flight the hometown guys prevailed once again. Greg Bristol and Jeff Chaffin of the Santa Barbara Men's Golf Club combined for a 147 gross and a 122 net.
