Perry wins Carolinas Senior
Linville , NC (Sept. 9, 2010) -- 59-year-old Russ Perry of Winston-Salem, NC tackled the difficult Linville Golf Club with a final round 73 for a 6 over par score of 222 to capture the Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship.
Talk about winning in style.
Perry, retired after 35 years in the insurance industry, edged the reigning North Carolina Super Senior Champion, John Deluise of Raleigh, NC by a single stroke with a 10 foot birdie putt on the final hole.
