Rivermont wins Georgia Team Championship
STATHAM, Ga. (Oct 31, 2010) – Rivermont Golf and Country Club of Johns Creek won a scorecard playoff to edge first-round co-leader St. Ives Country Club of Duluth and win the 18th annual Georgia Team Championship at The Georgia Club.

The Rivermont team was in the middle of the pack – tied for 15th – after the opening round, but posted an even-par 213 in the final round (best three-of-four stroke play) to charge up the leader board and finish tied at the top with St. Ives. St. Ives scored a 218 in the final round and both teams finished at 4-under-par 351. The tiebreaker was the fourth (non-counting) score of the second round.
