England wins European Nations Cup
SOTOGRNDE Golf Club, Spain (Apil 2, 2011) -- The English Golf Union team of Laurie Cantor, Tom Lewis, Jack Senior, and Andy Sullivan have won the 2011 European Nations Cup Golf Tournament at Sotogrande Golf Club on the Costa del Sol in Spain.
England finished two shots ahead of France, the World Golf Champions, posting a total score of 852 in the best three rounds of four daily format.
In 3rd place was Spain (855), followed by Scotland at 864.
Julien Brun of France (281) won the individual title, followed by Lukas Nemecz (284) of Austria and Laurie Canter (285) of England and Dermot McElroy (285) of Ireland.
